Young Voters Form Click?

April 15, 2007 New York Daily News

A Youth Voter registration group plans to harness the power of the Internet in its drive to sign up every 18-year-old in time for next year's presidential election. Working with such popular Web sites as Yahoo!, MySpace, YouTube, Google and Evite, the group Declare Yourself is also enlisting yourn celebrities.

Founded by TV and film producer Norman Lear, the movement has set itself a goal of driving "millions of young people, particularly first-time voters," to DeclareYourself.com to register.

America Ferrera of ABC's "Ugly Betty" and Hayden Panettiere of NBC's hit show "Heroes" are spokeswomen for the project.
