DECLARE YOURSELF DRAWS FOUR PRO FOOTBALL STARS ONSIDE TO FILM YOUTH VOTING BROADCAST PSAs FOR SUPER TUESDAY AND BEYOND

Brady Quinn, Shawn Alexander, Marc Bulger and Michael Huff Put Their Voting Game Faces On in New “Be a Player. Vote.” Campaign to Debut on Fox’s Pre-Game Show

LOS ANGELES, CA (January 31, 2008) – In anticipation of the Super day – Tuesday, that is – four pro football stars have teamed up to create new broadcast public service announcements for the nonpartisan, nonprofit youth voting initiative, Declare Yourself. Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn, Seattle Seahawks running back Shawn Alexander, St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger and Oakland Raiders strong safety Michael Huff are featured in individual PSAs for a new campaign called “Be a Player. Vote.” that will make their debut during Fox’s pre-game telecast on Sunday, February 3.

Recognizing that this year pro football’s Super day precedes politics’ Super day by exactly 48 hours, Declare Yourself Founder Norman Lear worked with Fox Sports executives to produce and present the 30-second spots, which will run on broadcast television throughout the presidential campaign season as well as online at www.DeclareYourself.com and other sites. Each gridiron great expresses their commitment and sincerity in conveying the power of registering to vote and making a difference. The content of the spots is as follows:

BRADY QUINN “Someone who is not registered to vote and has no desire to vote obviously is missing out on the one thing that makes this country great. Everyone has a say, and it may seem small and insignificant, but at the same time when the voices are all put together, they’re heard.”

SHAWN ALEXANDER “The biggest thing about voting is really simply, is to be able to go out there and say, ‘Hey, I have a say, too.” And when you’re the youngest of five older brothers (chuckling), you know, being able to say something is important!”

MARC BULGER “It’s really easy to complain about things in this country, and you ask people why? What’s wrong? Did you vote? And nine times out of ten, people say, ‘No, but…’ So don’t be a ‘no, but.’ Be a player. Vote. You can go online at DeclareYourself.com and you’re all set.”

MICHAEL HUFF “If you don’t want to vote in this election, and you’re not registered to vote in this election, then this face is coming after you. Vote in this election. Registering is easy. It just takes five minutes. Just go to DeclareYourself.com. Only you can silence yourself.”

Founded by Norman Lear, Declare Yourself features a powerful, multi-tiered platform aimed at engaging Americans 18-29 to vote, including media partnerships, celebrity spokespeople, the sports arena, and most importantly mobile and Internet technology. Declare Yourself’s campaign blankets the landscape of popular culture, as well as universities and high schools, with a simple, clear message: REGISTER AND VOTE! “

“Millions of young people, especially young guys, look up to these four athletes, and we believe their participation and support for Declare Yourself will motivate a lot of people to register online,” said Lear. “We couldn’t say it any better than Brady, Shawn, Marc and Michael say in these spots. If you want to get into the biggest game in politics, you’ve got to register and vote.”

In addition to its partnerships with Fox Sports, Declare Yourself is enlisting an unprecedented array of partners for the 2008 election, including Cricket Wireless, MySpace, Yahoo!, Google, Clear Channel, Comedy Central, Spike TV, American Eagle Outfitters, Harper Collins, Starbucks and Voto Latino. Easy registration is available through www.DeclareYourself.com or by texting VOTE to 55355 on your mobile phone.
